JKR has said that this will be the shortest time on Privet drive for Harry:
1- Harry is picked up the very next day?
2- Since Harry has to stay there, everyone else moves in with him. (First morning Petunia finds Molly in her kitchen lighting a fire in her stove, DD sets up magical rooms in the basement for the Weasley's or maybe just rents the house next door?, perhaps others. OF course, the Dursleys' can't leave or it'd break the protection magic)
3- Tonks decides that Harry needs cheering up, and a girlfriend would help, and organizes a party inviting nothing but girls. The dursleys are apoplectic, Dudley drools, Harry panics, and Ginny catches his eye
Considering the prophecy, Harry now has Dumbledore over a barrel, and could do some serious blackmailing of the old headmaster. After all, Harry is of supreme importance. (not sure how Ginny might fit into these ideas...)
1- Harry blackmails Dumbledore to fire Snape. (him or me, make a choice)
2- Harry hires a wizard solicitor to produce a binding wizard's oath/contract for Dumbledore. Harry agrees to forgive dumbledore for (a) sticking him w/dursleys, (b) for ignoring him last year (and etc) and in exchange Dumbledore will ensure that Snape must improve his treatment of Harry's group (the six) - no detentsions, no house points, no snarky remarks.
Post Hogwarts:
- the twins branch out into pharmacy products (with a twist). Their first product: "singing cycle suckers", which burst into singing if the witch sucking on them is pregnant. (Harry is backer, Ginny is product development)
- (angsty) at age 50, H/G go for a walk down Diagon Alley and notice how no one pays Harry attention any more. Bittersweet about no longing being noticed/important?
- Due to preparing to fight Voldemort, fighting voldemort, and recovering in the hospital afterwards, Harry fails/misses his NEWT's and is forced to repeat 7th year... with Ginny.
- H/G try out for the same seeker spot on a team... and Harry loses.
