Just a quick post to clarify the rules for all you drabblers entering in our up and coming Christmas Drabble Competition, because I’ve had a couple of questions about it.

- Make it Christmassy if you can.
- 300 words exactly please.
- Three words from ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ must be included; however three is only the minimum. Feel free ( Read more... )

gee, if I'd seen this earlier I wouldn't have flooded you with questions. *blushes* so sorry. Dang. I knew you were going to say that. My piece was all ready to go except it's not Christmasy. *SIGH* Let me go see what I can do with it.

Um, unless you have OpenOffice word processing software, what format should I use to send it to you?

I hate that I’m not getting notifications at the moment.

I've sent you a message about this, you've probably already got it though :)

not pertaining to the format of the piece (what software to use). other than that, yes.

What it the software you have? If I don't have the same software then I'll check if Julie or Jana do and then they could open it.

I also sent you a question specific to the piece I wrote (I was going to put it here but the question kinda made it obvious which one was mine, lol). *kicks the notification system for being so grumpy right now*

Just sent you a reply, sorry it's a bit late my laptop decided to freeze on me.

I do hope they sort it out soon, I'm not used to not getting my notifications.

I just sent you my story. I didn't keep it in word format - I just copied and pasted it into an email. Let me know if that isn't ok and how you would like me to send it. Since my email address is katwoman_1986@yahoo.com you shouldn't have any problem figuring out which is mine. :)

BTW, from reading the comments here I have a suggestion for future challenges:
When you post the challenge you could screen comments so anyone can ask any questions about the challenge they might have. That way, when you respond only they and you can see their questions and answers. LJ has been posting the comments right away but taking days to actually email them!

That’s great, I'll check the email tomorrow morning.

Yes, I have considered it for next time... I suppose I wasn't planning on there being too many questions. But, yes I'll make the comments screened next time; it would make it a lot easier :)

I sent you both versions of mine to decide upon. Just want to be sure you received them. If not, let me know and I'll resend them.

I'm sorry Barbara, I've been meaning to email or PM you. I received both drabbles just fine, I've talked to Jana and Julie and we've decided that for fairness sake we'll have to submit your revised version. But if you want to post the original after the competition then that's fine. xx

That's fine. See, that's why I left it up to you. I would likely have submitted the original. I'll hold on to the original and may post it afterward.

Thanks for taking the time to check them over and decide for me. I know you and everyone else is very busy right now.
