Summary: James and Albus search for what they desperately need for school.
Hearing a creak on the stairs, Harry was immediately awake and alert, lit wand in his hand.
"Quiet, Al! Do you wanna wake up Mum and Dad?"
Harry chuckled to himself and nudged Ginny.
"Hmmm?"
"Our sons are up to something. Listen." Harry and Ginny heard muffled shuffling until a stair creaked again.
Now who's making noise?
Ginny giggled and cuddled closer to Harry. "What are they doing?" Harry shrugged.
"We can't go in Dad's study! We're not allowed!"
"Quit being such a baby! Where else would he have hidden it?"
"The Invisibility Cloak," Harry and Ginny whispered in unison.
"Alohomora! Are you coming or not, Al?"
"We're going to get in trouble."
"Al's got that right!" Ginny moved to get up, but Harry held her back. "Harry! What was the point of casting Amplification Charms if not to catch our children making mischief?"
"Entertainment?" Harry smirked. Ginny rolled her eyes but stayed. They heard more shuffling and a crash.
"Bloody Hell, Al! Do you want us to get caught?"
"I dropped a book. Nothing broke."
"They are going to destroy your study, Harry." Ginny moved to get up again.
Harry stopped her again. "It's OK. I have unbreakable charms on everything."
"What if they manage to find the Cloak?"
"It's hidden in Ron's office at the Ministry."
"Brilliant!"
"Damn!" There was another crash. "Oh, cool. Dad must have everything in here charmed to be unbreakable."
"James, there's no way Mum and Dad didn't hear that!"
"They aren't here, are they? We need to find the Cloak so we can do fun stuff this year!"
Harry kissed the top of Ginny's head and ran his hand along her side. "I remember us doing all sorts of fun stuff with the Cloak."
"As James is only twelve, 'fun stuff' hopefully means something different than it did for us." Ginny rolled her eyes.
"Where is it?"
"Dad's probably good at hiding stuff from being an Auror. Maybe we should just go to bed?"
"You're SO going to be in Slytherin."
Harry and Ginny giggled helplessly, hearing the study door close and more shuffling on the stairs.
"We don't need the cloak for 'fun stuff' anymore." Grinning, Harry waggled his eyebrows as he leaned over to kiss Ginny.
