Harry remembers the first time he saw Diagon Alley. That an entire community could exist in hiding; that magic could exist at all; that he was famous in this ingeniously hidden community; it blew his mind.
He worries that his children are not impressed enough, that growing up wizards has acclimated them to wonder, has made them blind to the magic of magic.
Ginny suggests they take the muggle tube next time. And seeing his children’s eyes wide as saucers, James’ mouth slightly agape as the train hurtles through tunnels, his worry evaporates. They still have wonder; it’s just different.
