No Dream Left Behind: a Chinese American Teenager's Pursuit of Identity and Humanity in a World of Egotism and Heartlessness -- Starting with His Own
A memoir.
Because,
of words and ideas and miscommunication and fiascos and melodrama in a world simultaneously filled with mindless consumerism and starving children dying of not hunger but AIDS and warfare and toxic waste;
of a world where a truly sentient artificial intelligence would deem it best for humanity that we all cease to exist or lose free will or be enslaved and trapped in an interconnected and never-ending dream;
of the impulses and memories and burdens and (non?)existing multiple personalities that I you he she all carry one more step at a time never sure whether mine yours his hers really matters or deserves another moment in obscurity
of knowledge and feelings and melodies and lores and souls that survive wars and plagues and time;
of the inevitable fact that one day I you we will not,
except in words;
of course I would want to write.
