Well, it has been a long time since I posted. It's not that I don't want to post, I am just not good at it. So many of you are wonderful story tellers, I'm not. So I just feel like I am boring to read.
So things are going really well for us, besides Rich being sick. The kids are doing great! Each of each some little milestones in the last week. Garrett now can get on and off the potty all by himself and even wipe his own bottom! That is huge cause up till a few weeks a go he used a potty seat when he sat because he was afraid of falling in. Now he doesn't need our help at all!! Little Miss Allie has given up her high chair. Now she sits in a booster seat at the table with us. Her table manners have improved greatly! She is so curious. She has to see everything that is going on and be a part of it. No one will tell her she is to young to do something!
Yesterday we went to see Santa. Garrett is so excited for Christmas this year. I must admit, I am looking forward to Christmas more this year as well. There are several reasons for that. 1. Garrett is excited, so it makes me excited 2. I have bought some people some way cool gifts that I am excited to give them and 3. My brother and his girlfriend are coming up!!! I haven't spent Christmas day with my brother in a long time and I am really looking forward to it.
My brother and I were always really close growing up, but for the last few years he had kinda got distant on me. But with my dads death and us going through that together we are really close again. We seriously talk at least once everyday, sometimes 5 or 10 times. lol!
Tonight Garrett and I will decorate the tree. We were suppose to do that last night, but he was tired and naughty so he had to go to bed early. Speaking of which, both kids are still sleeping at 8 am, they went to bed at about 7:30 last night I guess they were tired! I like this business of Allie sleeping in. Yesterday she slept till 9 am! I like the quiet of the morning before they all get up.
Ok, so I will end this post with our picture of Santa. Here is the Santa history - 2004 - Garrett was only 9 months so he just sat there. 2005 - Garrett freaked out and Rich was in the picture 2006- Garrett sat ok, but wouldn't smile, Allie was only 3 months so she just sat there. Now 2007 - Garrett smiled!!! And he talked with Santa. He wanted to know where the reindeer and the sled were. I was worried Allie would freak out, but she didn't!! She didn't smile, just sat there like, what are we doing, who is this guy. But she was ok, and I got a cute picture so this trip to visit Santa was a success!
