Nudged...
So it has been a while since I have posted. I have been nudged, so I am posting :)
I am not sure why I haven't, just been lazy about it I guess. What is happening in my life? Well the last 3 weeks have been busy....
It all started 3 weeks ago today w/ my fathers death. That week was just plain crazy. At least the weekend after was pretty normal, we took the kids to the zoo for one last visit this year. Then that next week I had a 3 day conf. at work, which I plan and organize. So I was gone M, T and W nights for activities for that. Then that weekend we went to Techumseh/Clinton for my step sisters wedding reception. Rich's parents stayed w/ the kids. Let me just say, the Techumseh Inn has not aged well. It was nasty. Sunday morning we got to have breakfast w/ my mom, stepdad, brother and his girlfriend so that was nice. We were going to try and see Amy, but she was busy. Finally last week was normal!!!! It was so nice to be able to come home from work, make dinner and spend time with my kids.
This weekend has been good. Friday night Garrett and I went to my brother in laws football game. He is the Varsity coach at Watervielt. Yesterday we went to Robinette's, grocery shopping and then his family came over for birthday cake for his sisters birthday. Last night was a blast, my friend Libbie and I went to see Hairspray (it was my 4th time) then stopped a Ucello's for a few drinks on the way home. It was a fun girls night out.
Right now Allie is napping, Garrett is resting on the couch, Rich is watching football and I am updating you :) Once the kids get up from their naps, we are going to the park. We are meeting Libbie and her kids. Her son Reed is Garrett's best friend.
Overall the kids are doing great. Garrett continues to amaze us with the things he comes up with. Allie is a walking machine. I swear she never sits still.
This week should be tame again. I am hoping to finish off the thank you notes from my dad's stuff. There was seriously over 200 people at his memorial service. It was quite overwhelming. Next Sunday Rich and I area heading to Detroit to meet my brother. We are going to start going through my dads condo. It is going to be a big job and will take place over several Sundays this fall.
So there you have it, there is my update. Oh, I have a myspace page now too. Not that it gets update either :) But I do check my messages.
