This was a good week. It is amazing how much better I feel not being pregnant. Even though I am getting less sleep I have more energy then when I was pregnant.
Over Wednesday and Thursday we repainted our bathroom. It needed actual bathroom paint on it. We painted it a darker gray. I really like it. Today I did the final touches and removed the tape and put it all back together. Tomorrow I wand to get a valance for the window and some decorative towels for one of the racks.
Also today I packed away all my maternity clothes and got out my regular clothes again. I went through and sorted out a bunch of stuff for Goodwill. There was stuff that hadn't fit since before I had Garrett, it is time for it to go.
At G's school there are a three other boys in his class, Reed, Caleb and Nate. He and Reed are buddies as Reed's mom and I are friends they see each other out of school. Well, the two times I picked up G this week Reed has asked if he can come to Garrett's house. Well today, when Rich went in to get him Caleb comes up to him and says "Reed is coming to my house this weekend, not Garrett's." Rich and I found this very amusing. Course when G got in the car the asked if he could go to Reeds house. I would never have expected these little boys who are 2 1/2 - 3 ( I am not sure how hold Caleb and Nate are but Reed turned 3 in August) would be such social planners. I am glad he is enjoying his school and making friends. We are still amazed at how much he has come out of his shell in the last few months. Our shy little boy is no longer that.
Ok, now to the baby. She is a total daddy's girl. She loves to sit on this chest and just look at him. It is amazing to me how much is taken with him. G was never that way with him, just me. So I have my momma's boy and Rich has his daddy's girl. It is be amusing to see how the relationships develop as the children get older. Oh, we had her 2 week check up today. She is now 10lbs 6oz and 21 1/2 inches long. The doctor recommended leaving her on the soy formula. We also think she is a little colicky. It seems like each night from anywhere between 5 & 6 til 8 ish she is cranky and cries easily. Sometimes it seems to be gas but sometimes it isn't. The doctor said most will out grow by 3 months. It is at these times she really prefers Rich. G was never colicky.
For the first time in ever I have all my picture frames w/ updated pictures. I feel like I have actually accomplished stuff this week. It feels good. I didn't get anything done the last month or so of my pregnancy.
I guess that is all for now. It is almost my bed time :)
allie,
