Lets hope McGonagall learned to bear defeat will a little dignity.
because her remark makes it perfectly clear why Snape more then a decade later
lost no oportunity to rub in the defeat of Gryffindor by Slytherin at Quidditch 7 times in a row.

LOL! According to canon, the students do wear black robes with hoods - I preferred those over the movie uniforms... Canon before prettiness! ;P

She really could do more for him. The remark about defeat was unappropriate and just worsened things. This was just nota defeat in their silly teenage war, but something worse, and, she, as a taecher, should know that.
