yay for no school!
Okay, so while all our teachers are laboriously working all day, we get to enjoy an entire day of no school. lol yay. So this morning I went to the eye doctor and it was really cold outside (like 40's!), which meant i got to wear my letter jacket for the first time! how exciting!! And when I got there, there was this guy in the waiting room who was like "Ah, so you're in the Lassiter Band?" and it was really cool cause i got to talk to him for a while (he goes to KSU and went to Walton, not in band though lol). Then this older lady came and took me to do the first tests and she, too, asked about being in band! Turns out she used to play sax in band. Oh, haha... she asked me "well now, this was a long time ago, but when I was in band many years ago we used to go to competitions. Do you guys still do that?" lol yea! And then, the second doctor later also asked about being in band! We had a nice conversation about the band and the trips and stuff. lol it was so cool.... yay for letter jackets!
okay, so in all my free time today I have been doing a lot of thinking. Mostly about all my friends. and as it turns out, some of my "friends" are not who they appear to be. (i have been realzing this over time, though). This really, really bothers me. I thought we were friends, best friends. Turns out its not so much, I can't go into too much detail without anyone who might be reading this figuring out who I'm ta;lking about (though you could probably take a guess). Aside from this, which can be really depressing if you put too much thought into it, I also realized that I still have some of the best friends anyone could possibly ask for. Here's a shout out to all you who mean so much to me:
Abby (ale! - i have known you for EVER and i hope you and I will again be as close as we once were), Christie (I can talk to you whenever I need to, especially about boys lol we still need our Christie-Joanne time), Allison (youre an Amazing friend, I love our deep convos! lol - can you believe Weve known eachother for 5 years!!?), Melissa (you,too, are a great friend. thanks for everything. Happy belated DOI day!) Nikki(ah, Nikki... Its hard to explain how much you mean to me, but thanks for always being there), Aaron (another great friend.. Youve seen me at my worst at times, and i can always talk to you. Haha, did I add that you always make me laugh, too?)
Anyways... tonight is a football game, but its only going to be a pep band. the freshmen were not allowed to come, and hardly anyone else is going - but i cant wait, yay band. thats all for now, im out.
