The commandment "if it doesn't taste right, don't eat it" has always been a problem for me to follow. I am such a non-picky eater, if I am hungry enough, and if it is available, I eat it. Salt/melted cheddar heals all tastes. This would explian why I got foodpoisoning four times my freshman year. Since then, I have wisened up, never eat food that has been in the fridge for more then 3 days, and if it dont taste right, I dont consume, no matter how much I payed for it. I am proud to say that I have not had food poisoning since.
Until last Wednesday.
I bought a fresh salmon fillet a grocery store. The store had had a power outage all day, but I thought "if it was in the display case, then it was edible." It cooked up wierd, I blamed that on myself. I am still inexperienced when it comes to cooking fish. Finally, I consumed. It was terrible, but I thought it was the maranade. To spare ya'll the gruesome details, just know that it is Sunday, and I am finally able to hold down water and bread.
Once again, the lesson has been learned
When shopping for fresh meat, if the power has gone out, turn around and RUN FORREST RUN!!!!!
