In thinking about things that may or may not happen in the last two books, I've come across some very interesting theories, (as well as some exteremly stupid ones), and I was wondering what people here thought about the idea of Ron being a Seer ( Read more... )

I'm not sure about Ron being a Seer, but I definitely think that many of Ron's predictions should be taken seriously.

Have you read the whole chess game theory? Basically it suggests (among many other things) that Ron will sacrifice himself to save Harry in the end, just as he did in the chess game in Year 1. I agree with it, as much as I hate seeing characters I love die, I think Ron will die to help Harry.

I've worried that that's going to happen too, actually. I so don't want to see Ron die though. My theory on that is actually a little different, and I believe that everything will come to a head and it will actually be Snape who ends up sacrificing himself for Harry. There's a long story behond that, that I'm certain you don't want to hear. ^_^

I was just watching the movies again in preparation to see "Prisoner of Azkaban" and was thinking about that. Do you know where else I could read about that? That's the best parallel I've heard regarding Ron's projected sacrifice to date. It really puts it in perspective.

It talks about a lot of other things, too. It reminds me of the AP English days, looking for symbolism in everything.
