My tag for Princess and the Pear. Okay. I didn't really like this last episode as much as some others, and I was a little peeved. So, this was my way of dealing with that - it's what I wish had REALLY happened at the end of the show. A bit angst-y, a bit BB. I do hope you enjoy it.

I absolutely LOVE it when I crawl out of bed in the morning, check and LJ and see that you have updated. Pretty much starts my day off right. So, I made some breakfast and plopped back in front of my computer to eat and enjoy your brilliance.

I love how you turned the end result of such a 'blah' episode into something heartfelt and meaningful. I disliked the ending to the episode itself, but the way you caught Brennan's raw emotion as a result of that skank...er...Perotta being with Booth was phenomenal. We all know she was feeling like this, why didn't they just show it?

When did he gain such control over me? When did I begin to allow it?
Such truth here. I think she has always known this in the back of her mind, but only until S4 did she begin to let it come to the surface. The fact that Brennan stopped when Booth asked her to was a monumental leap from where they began, and as usual, you captured it perfectly here.

He takes the last step, bringing his body flush with mine, and slides his arms gently around my waist, pulling me back against him. His voice, when he speaks again, is low, so low I can barely hear, and yet I understand. “When was the last time you really let yourself be touched?” His breath runs hot against my neck, followed almost immediately by his lips. “Let me touch you.”
Holy hell. Your ability to take one simply beautiful paragraph and evoke such different emotions is stunning. First, the arms around the waist bring out the "awww" factor in me, but then the kisses upon her neck? *fans self*

Yet another fab one, Heather! Love your update sand your insights into some of these episodes. You have a knack for putting into words what we, as viewers, desperately wanted to see.

I writhed when I watched the end of that ep! I was SO uncomfortable with stupid Perotta being here - my first instinct was to RUN, and I wasn't even there! The whole thing was born out of that.

Oh, sigh. When he touches her, when he ASKS to touch her, we all know it's not just the physical he's talking about. What a WONDERFUL GUY!
