Room bookings and meet-up cost
Hello everyone!
Here's where we'll be for the meet-up: Ramada Princes St
This hotel is so central you can see the train station/airport bus-stop AND the Castle in one glance. There's a function room reserved at the top and a bar/restaurant below!
There are single, twin, double, triple (twin beds) and triple family (double and twin) rooms available at the moment. You also have the option of flexible or refundable rates and/or breakfast. The Scottish school holidays start around that time, so it's going to be important to book soon.
Unlike last year, the Internet rate for the hotel is much cheaper than the group rate, so we're asking that you book your own accommodation.* (You may decide to stay elsewhere and meet up at the hotel.) If you want us to give you a hand, please do ask, we have links to other places (Google:) and can tell you how close/far away other places might be.
*The site was down first thing this morning and should you have trouble, they're happy to help you book over the phone.
Other places you might want to consider can be found here and via other search engines. In addition, there are a couple of Travelodges within walking area, one of which opens next month.
Another thing we can help with is finding you a roommate(s) if you should need. Having said that, you're all (mostly) grown up and we'll keep the delegate list as up-to-date as possible, so you can see who might be interested in sharing a room. If this is you, let us know so we can update the list.
The cost for the meet-up is £10 which is payable on the day and for that you get a function room full of fangirls/boys, activities, a goody bag, a drink of your choice, and a hell of a lot of fun (we hope).
Important: Please let us know when you've arranged accommodation (or that you don't need it), so we can start getting goody bags sorted. (Shopping for those goodies is just so strenuous!) And of course we need to get the personalised things arranged ;)
