[Meetup 2015] Names, banners and pimping
I took the privilege of posting a pimping post on my own journal. Obviously you're all free to do the same thing! The more fandom peeps join us the more fantastic it'll be!
I'm also thinking about asking an artist or two to make us pretty banners for our 2015 meet up, so if you got any idea of people who'd be willing to participate/help me out feel free to put their names in a comment or contact them yourself.
Talking about banners, if we're going to do one we'll be needing a pretty name to go with our meet up. Does anybody still remember the names of the previous meet ups and/or meet ups held overseas? That way we can get an original name to go with the banners and maybe even the pimping material that'll be present during the meet up.
2010: London meetup: Obliviate
2011: Edinburgh meetup: Crucio
2012: No meetup?
2013: Edinburgh meetup: Riddle House Party
As I'm organising this - or so far, trying to - I realise this might end up being a lot of work. So if you'd be willing to help me out to organise this thing that'd be fantastic. If not, then not. We still got a whole year after all.
And last but not least. As this was all based on a small meet up with mab, writcraft and me, we're going to be going with the dates that suit them best. So those dates will have to wait until they have settled something (no pressure ladies).
Last but not least. When we were in London during (if I'm correct) the first Harry Potter UK meetup, we stayed in the Premier Inn. I was thinking about organising this in the same hotel. It was nice, big enough and right across from Kings Cross station, plus there were a lot of cheaper hotels and hostels around for people who'd prefer that. However, if you got another idea of where or in which hotel to hold the meetup, feel free to comment (as usual).
