IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

Hello everyone! We're now about a week away and we wanted to highlight a few things before the festivities began in earnest. (Sorry if this sounds a bit patronising, but we want to make sure all this is in writing somewhere on the comm).

These were all things that came up last year, and rather than have people have to ask about them on the day, we thought we'd just post it here generically. Please indulge us:

* Numbers We now have 45 participants! Please do NOT ask anyone to come along without letting us know first, as the hotel needs to ensure they have accurate numbers and we need to ensure the room is set up properly - we're happy to have more, but the tables may need to be rearranged or indeed, removed.

* Fees The cost of the Meet-Up is £10. Please have this available before or on the night - no exceptions. Many thanks!

* Time Please be prompt to the Meet-Up - we're starting at 6pm on the Saturday evening. We've got lots of things to do, and we also want you to have time for a drink and to look through your goodies before the fun and games start up.

* Emergencies Remember - we're your organisers, not the emergency services or your parents. If you're travelling from another country, make sure you have the number of your relevant consolate/embassy. If you're travelling with meds, make sure you know where to get replacements if necessary. And as you probably all know, most foreign bank cards will work in the ATMs, but best to make sure you're not completely skint before the weekend :D

* Respect This goes without saying, but we're going to say it anyway. Remember you are a visitor to this hotel. We don't want to be chucked out for excessive noise or drunken behaviour. Please keep the revellery to a reasonable level (inside, at least).

And in that same vein, as you know, everyone's favourite character/OTP is the best, so there's no point in trying to argue that yours is better.

Please be excellent to one another.

* Photography Please DO NOT post photos anywhere in the public domain without getting the consent from everyone in them. Also, please be aware that there will be some people who don't want their photos taken, full stop. Please respect their wishes. It is not our role to police this, so if you're one of these people, please make it known at a suitable time.

* Time Out If you need to step back for any reason from any of the planned events, please feel free to do so. We all want to have fun but we don't want drama. You know yourselves and your limits. If you need a brief respite, please just take it, and allow others to carry on.

* Goody bags Those of you bringing things for the goody bags and want to leave whatever it is at the front desk, please do so. If you want to give it to us personally, that's fine too, both of us are staying at the hotel. If you want to find us, the front desk will have a mobile number where we can be reached if we're not around. We thank you very much for you contributions!

These goody bags will contain bespoke presents for you as well as the other things. These are drabbles and art-work based upon the favourite minor character information you gave us. Some of the drabbles are short, some are long, all are good. The art-work has all been done by fan-artists (not my kids:). PLEASE make sure you thank these people on LJ or in a PM after the fest.

We will also be raffling off drabbles, art, and other wonderful prizes. Again, please make sure to thank the creators of these gifts, should you win one.
