Evan Rosier spread his arms and did for Severus what Lily would never have done. Perhaps, finally, it would be enough.

How very sad, especially knowing that Severus had betrayed him long before it was all over.

I love them. Evan is actually the only canon HP character I've ever really written. I tried writing this story with them having been together, but it wasn't working, so instead we got this.

It's not very often you read a story that makes you feel so much emotion for a character that was so minor in canon - poor Evan! The fact that he would rather die than be forced to give up his best friend and secret love (esp. when we already know nothing would have happened to Severus)...:'(

So few fics ever consider that someone might have loved Severus as intently as he loved Lily. This was heartbreaking and wonderful!
