So glad I finally read this! Sometimes I find that character-driven stories about minor characters don't turn out very well, but I thought this was excellent. I especially loved his ignoring the loving couples, and letting kids be kids as long as their intentions were good. Lovely job!

Man, this was really terrific. We know so little about Filch in the canon and you manage to put in explanations for everything we do now, from his limp to his attachment with Mrs. Norris! Truly great piece of work.
