How delightful! I love how you worked in all the bits from canon and fleshed Neville's Gran out as you did. Just lovely!

YAAAAAAAAY!!!! I love this! I love, love, love this kind of "back story" fic, and you've done a great job with young!Neville. I loved "metamorphmagus ghosts." Gran was lovely, too, being both stern and loving toward her grandson.

Thank you so, so much, mystery writer! I can't wait to find out who you are and read more of your work!

A beautiful take on Augusta Longbottom and an excellent eight year old Neville. Well told.

I love this story so much, with your feisty Neville and kind-but-gruff Augusta, I yearn for it to be true.

And then you were born, and you looked just like your mum, and oh, then I knew exactly what he meant.

Such a wonderful line.

Neville imagined himself in his father's place, holding off the Death Eater hordes with just the wand in his hand.

Another great line - sadly evocative, and telling about both Neville and Frank. I loved the ending, too. Lovely storytelling!

Thank you! I have to admit, I love that line of Augusta's. When I wrote that, her character just clicked for me, so I'm glad that you liked it, too!
