(no subject)
The weekend was highly interesting. I headed off with ixchelmala to do wedding things on Saturday. Actually, not really wedding things. We hit The Wizard of Bras in Monrovia because I needed to find undergarment things for that bride's maid dress of mine xD Dude... those women were great, at least.. the one I had. She fitted me and everything and it was all VERY good! That's where my bra cost post came from. Anyway, that evening, I tried on the dress with the underthings on at ix's and she tried on her dress and like.. DUDE! Her dress is... AWWWUH! So purdy!!! And WOW does it take up space!!! XD The width of the skirt of it with all the fixings underneath reminded me of Kaylee's dress!
Sunday was a rush to Duarte after we realized we were SO late in leaving in the morning. I went to get alterations marked for the dress. All that needed some taking in was in the bust, really. Afterwards, we went rummaging around for ideas on things and whatnot. Goddamn, it was a bloody hot day on Sunday.
Ix borrowed a couple of DVDs from me to subject flitzermusik to xD I can't wait to hear the reaction on that. Unfortunately, I was feeling pretty ill today and stayed home from work, so I also couldn't go to ix's to help out with more wedding things, but it looks like some damage occurred to the cards they ordered ;.; sad. So the date for that is changed.
In other news, my dad offered to take me with him to a seminar in Santa Barbara. Thing is.. it's on an HPLA weekend, and I miss my HPLA folk. While the seminar might interest me, he also has to pay for the seminar and for lodging in Santa Barbara. As my interest is certainly not as deep as his, I really don't want him to pay that money for me, but I'm at a loss of how to break it gently to him. I do have a bridal reason for it as well, but I feel sort of bad using that as an excuse. However, I really dread carrides with him. It's a Friday-Saturday thing. I'm going to have to say no x_X I just gotta pluck up the courage to say so.
Karen still has a bunch of my DVDs and I want them back ;.; Jenny? Do you have DVDs of mine, too? O_o
Oh, and I found out where my brother goes every Monday (I think). He didn't know I was home sick today and I came down when he got home and made the discovery. He told me not to tell mom because she'd just freak out and overreact. I'm thinking he's right. Besides, at this point, if it's going to make him get gone sooner, so much the better, I think... mean as that is.
