(no subject)
It is nearing the end of my first day at work. It's going to be a LONG LONG LONG day tomorrow what with my confirmation in attending the OotP Midnight Showing here at Mann's.
After work is over, I'm going to pop off to South Pas to dump a bunch of folders and informational little books in mom's car and grab my macbook and spend an hour or so at the Library with my Macbook. Here's hoping that the WiFi there is working.
Anyway. My brain is saturated with a lot of procedures for doing different parts of my job.
It looks like what I'll be doing is learning the ropes of my job and eventually taking over for the guy who's in the position currently because he's training to do other things in the department.
So my brain's full and I hope to empty it with the movie tonight (though it's going to make me very tired tomorrow). That's not so bad. I went to sleep at 3am last night (because I was having fun with my macbook and couldn't sleep.
It's soooo weird to be down here in Hollywood with a giant cubicle ALL TO MYSELF FOR ONCE. With loads of things that are mine for use. I just hope I get the hang of all of this well enough. It was all pretty much... not complex. It's just that I need to figure out how to establish a flow of how to do work... on my own. Before, it was me sitting around waiting for work and twiddling my thumbs and spinning my wheels.
This is going to be very interesting.
