This is going to be a cheesy sentimental kinda entry..Just a pre-warning..Not interested? Then don't read :)
I was informed today that are exams are being moved up. I was extremely happy..at first. I want to be out of high school so desperately. I'm ready to take the next step and start the next chapter of my life. I was ready to leave high school drama behind me. Then it hit me....As much as I say I'm ready and I cannot wait until school is done...these past two months I've been holding on to every single day. As the end of the year approaches, I realize the strong friendships I've developed in just a matter of a couple months.
Recently I've become closer to people and developed friendships that I'm not ready to let go of. I walked into the front doors of high school with a group of friends, wondering what would happen in the four years I would spend there. I'm leaving that place with the same friends I've walked in with, but leaving with so many more.
For awhile I drifted apart from many of the friends I entered the building with, but as the numbered days go on our friendships rekindle and become stronger than ever.
These past three to two months I've been the happiest I have ever been, and it feels great. I enjoy my weekends spent with the people I care about. I have friends who take me for me and don't try to change me, don't try to cut me down or talk behind my back (like most girls are extremely guilty of). We support each other, we are there with a bowl of ice cream and ears ready to listen. We laugh to the point where are stomachs hurt, we share our deepest secrets, we make stupid comments (and never live them down) we are intertwined souls.
Through my new friendships I've developed other new friendships. It's a constant connection. New people, new memories, a new life..a fresh start.
They know my past and I know theres. We don't care. We love each other and support each other. We forgive, we laugh and share our sundaes. We understand circumstances and we understand mistakes. We help each other and treat each other as if we we're family....we are family.
As much as I'm counting down the days that I am stuck in the school, I am going to miss it. Right now I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. No other school, no other place or with any other people. I'm happy here and It's going to stay that way.
The End.
