In your opinion, what were the most memorable scenes in the book?

The dementors were memorably creepy. The whole final scenes with Sirius and Remus and the Trio and then Snape and then Harry and Hermione and Sirius.

Ditto. All of that was riveting reading. My sons wanted to hear those chapters read to them over and over.

Dementors. Those things freaked me the hell out.

Also the whole deal with Buckbeak.

Hermione shouting "Harry, look at Snape!" to draw attention to the man whose job it was to stay hidden.

Snape conjuring a stretcher and levitating his worst enemy onto it instead of letting harm come to him -- while he thought nobody was watching. This is Snape's true nature.

The scene where Harry realized it wasn't his dad that saved him, but his own time-traveling self. AHHHHHH and then he produced the patronus and I cried

You mean there were scenes apart from RON STANDING ON A BROKEN LEG AND TELLING A MURDERER HE HAD TO GET THROUGH HIM TO REACH HARRY?

Ron is so badass. I will never forgive Steve Kloves for what he did to him in the movies.

I loved the scenes with Lupin where he taught Harry to fight dementors. There's so much stuff going on there! Harry having to deal with his bad memories and find strong happy ones, meanwhile we know Lupin has his own ongoing struggle at being reunited with James' boy going on.

Also, love the scene where the Marauder's map insults Snape. It's nastier in retrospect but... also still funny/ going to hell.

the one that stick out to me the most are:

*Harry spending time on his own in diagon alley. Not a big thing but it made me feel so good for him to have this much freedom, which he never got with the dursleys.

*sirius slashing the portrait of the fat lady/then tricking sir cadogan to let him in with neville's lost passwords

*gryffindor winning the quidditch world cup

*the scabbers/ animagi reveal ( and Ron showcasing what an amazing friend he is)

*the whole going back in time to save buckbeak and sirius, and harry realizing it was He who cast the patronus that saved them.
