A day at the office with some progress...

Millicent sighed as she looked at the mountains of files on her desk. It was going to be another long day. At least it looked more organized than in times past and the files were flowing onto the floor or up to the ceiling.

She shrugged off her cloak and waved her wand at the tallest stack, putting it into alphabetical order. She continued with each stack and then began shrinking them to send to other departments. She tied the first set to Nevermore's leg and sent him off.

While he was gone, she organized the rest of her desk. She'd done pretty well with the trays and labels for different departments, letters, and memos. She'd made up the system so no one could possibly get confused. If they did, it wasn't her fault.

Millicent smiled triumphantly as an hour later her desk was free and clear.

Percy was pleasantly surprised with his secretary. She was smart, determined and resourceful. He liked that and was proud of himself in finding her even if she wasn't a Hogwarts alumni.

"Good morning, Miss Roberts," he greeted, offering her a smile as he breezed into the office.

"Good morning to you as well, Minister Weasley," she replied brightly. So far she'd been able to fool him of her true nature, though it was becoming harder these days.

"I need you to personally deliver some files to the Department of Mysteries," he said, handing her his cloak. "These are very important documents, so I expect you to take the usual precautions."

Millicent's heart leapt. She was finally going to get a chance to see the department and feel out the wards.

"Yes, sir," she replied, hanging up his cloak as she handed him his coffee, his schedule for the day and a copy of the Daily Prophet.

"Your sister has been in again asking to see you," she said following him into his office. "I told her you had a 15 minute window later today, so I took the liberty to squeeze her into your schedule."

Percy gave a sigh as he sat down at his desk. Leave it to Ginny to bother him over trivial matters when he was trying to get the Ministry into working order.

"Very well," he replied, taking a sip of his coffee. He picked up the files on his desk and handed them to her. "Take these down now. They're expecting them."

"Yes, sir," she replied, taking the files. "Can I get you anything else, sir?"

"That will be all for now, Miss Roberts, thank you," he replied.

With that, Millicent left his office, closing the door. She smirked to herself and headed down to the Department of Mysteries, keeping her eyes and ears open the entire way.
