Harry and Ginny at home

Jun 01, 2007 03:22

Ginny had fallen asleep on the sofa promptly after she'd had dinner and turned on the telly. She had wanted to be awake when Harry got home, but being exhausted from a long day, she'd fallen asleep.

Harry Apparated into the kitchen as he always did, grabbing a biscuit from the pantry before going in search of Ginny. He heard the televison in the living room and stepped around an annoyed-looking Boots to get there. Ginny was asleep on the sofa, her red hair spilling around her onto the dark cushions and shining in the flickering light. Harry turned off the TV before going to her, kneeling beside her on the floor and kissing her lightly on the forehead.

Ginny jolted awake, her hand flying to her forehead to bat away whatever was bothering her. She winced as her hand came in contact with a nose...Harry's nose.

"Sorry," she said, closing her eyes tightly. "Did I hurt you?"

"Um, ow," Harry mumbled, covering his nose protectively with his hands.

She sat up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes and looked at him. She sighed and reached for his hands, taking them off his nose to inspect the damage.

"I didn't make it bleed...this time," she said, a slight smile curving her lips as she leaned in kissing his nose.

"Yeah, I don't know why I bother," he said sulkily.

She laughed and planted kissed all over his face, including several on his nose.

"I promise I'll make you forget all about it," she said, pulling back to look at him.

"Mmm," he said, doubtfully. "C'mon, you'll do yourself a mischief lying there."

"I have a crook in my neck from how I was sleeping," she said as she got up from the sofa. "I was going to wait up for you, but I guess I was more exhausted than I thought."

"You poor thing," he said, going to hang his coat up on the peg in the hall. "You shouldn't have waited, it's gone midnight, already."

"Is it really that late?" she asked, looking over at the clock on the wall. "I had dinner when I got home and I must've fallen asleep just after I turned on the telly."

"Whatever was on must have been really boring," he reflected.

"I don't even remember what it was on when I turned it on," she replied, heading down the hallway to their room. "You're late tonight. Lots going on?"
