As she was texting Terry back and forth about some modeling job, Lisa was in the midst of changing the bedsheets in her room. She felt awful about the events from earlier that day, especially over the misfortune that befell on her roommate. After Lisa's second shake, Mike's eyes opened. He made a face. "What...?" he breathed, trying to figure out the surroundings in the dark room. The light from Lisa's bedroom lit the side of her face. He groaned another, "what?", and tried to lift his head up, but felt a pang of pain.

"Ow! Goddamnit." He pulled himself slowly up, holding his neck. The result from not sleeping on a proper pillow.

Lisa winced in sympathy, she knew all too well how painful sleeping on this sofa could be. She's woken up from it many times after falling asleep while watching a movie or a television show. "You alright?"

She helped Mike sit up all the way before taking a seat next to him on the couch, "You should go sleep in my bed, I just changed the sheets and the room is decent as it's ever gonna get."

Mike was shaking his head as the words came out of Lisa's mouth. "No....." he weakly fought. "I'm fine. Why'd you have to wake me?" He rubbed his neck, longing to be asleep. And in another life.

"'Cause if I didn't, you'd hate me even more in the morning. I always get mad at you when you leave me out here." Lisa knew that the last thing Mike wanted to do was be awake and talking to her at the moment, but hey, he was the one who wanted her to live with him.

She put her hand on Mike's back, nudging him to get up from the sofa, "Come on, you don't want back problems added to the list of casualties."

He stood, not fully comprehending the situation as he was downright exhausted. He let her move him on to her room, shuffling through the dark flat with his head down. Her room was too bright, although in actuality there was only a bedside lamp on. He stumbled forward, eyes squinted, until his knees hit the side of her bed. There he dropped down on his side and curled up with a pillow without a word.

She was surprised at how amicable Mike was, Lisa was expecting to drag him by the hair into her room. Had she been a student in the field of psychology she would've tried to analyze his actions as some trauma cause by the day's events. Good thing she wasn't though, because trying to figure out all of his problems would take at least five years just to sort them out.

"Listen, I'm sorry for what happened today, okay? I'm totally gonna make it up to you." Lisa pulled the comforter over Mike, pondering for a moment whether she should just sleep on the other side of the bed, it was big enough for the two of them. She'd just have to make some sort of barrier down the middle, all that effort to avoid a cramp in the neck.

Mike merely groaned in response, already on the verge of sleep again. Right now, the question of sleeping arrangements was left for the living.

He slept on his side, on the edge of her bed, facing away from Lisa. There certainly was more than enough room for anything just shy of a dragon's size.

Lisa went to her closet to get an extra blanket out, as she's been known to hog everything while she sleeps. She got on the bed, leaving Mike the comforter and pulling the blanket over her.

She glanced over at her friend, reaching over to turn off the bedside light. She had the smile to herself as she laid back on the bed on her side, after it was all said and done, it was pretty hilarious that only Mike's room had burnt down.
