Lisa sat in her chair for a good minute, stunned at what she was just told over the phone. Her flat was on fire, and Mike couldn't get in because the door was actually locked for once...'What?' Lisa broke out of her stupor, immediately gathering her belongings and shoving whatever she could into her purse. She scrambled out of her office in the same manner she left her home in the morning, slowing just a tad as she passed by the receptionist of her department's desk to tell her she'll be putting away the boxes in her office tomorrow.
Lisa was in the main lobby when she started the motion to apparate, stopping midway to remind herself that where there's a fire, there will be crowds and crowds mean muggles. She then apparated, appearing in an empty alleyway just a block down from her building. Lisa then sprinted towards her building, out of breath by the time she entered it.
There were people everywhere, a fire hose lining up the stairs, and a fireman who just came down past her with an axe and a sort of saw. Lisa climbed the stairs, eventually making it up to her floor to see the damage. She saw Mike near what used to be their door, with the utmost look of horror on his face. Trying to lighten things up for him, "Honey...I'm home?" When that didn't work, Lisa went to stand next to Mike. "How'd this happen?"
