"I didn't mean I wouldn't think about it, just not now," she replied. "There's no way I could possibly do this without disrupting all of my plans."

Angrier than he could have ever imagined at her last statement, Theo kicked the bed hard before turning around. "Your plans! It's always about your fucking plans! You have to rule the world right this instant so you need to do all of this! You need to bring people back from the dead and control the Ministry and do all of it right this second, sparing no thought for anyone else! What about what I need? What about what I want?"

"Don't turn this into a fight about you," she sneered, clenching her fists at her side. "I'm doing this for all of us! And if you don't think I thank Merlin every fucking day that I met you, then you should rethink what you want."

"What I want is you!" he exclaimed, fisting his hair again. "You're the only thing in this entire world that I want! But you're never here anymore! You're always off with them, preparing them for whatever the fuck is it you're trying to do. And then on the off hand occasion that we are together at the same time while we're both awake, all you talk about is them!"

"This is everything I've worked for since the Dark Lord was defeated," she said, brushing her long hair from her face. "You were something...something I didn't expect."

He sighed again and shook his head. "So that means that nothing can change for me? That plans can't be altered?"

Taking a couple of steps back, he sat on the bed again and stared at her. "You weren't something I expected either. I never thought that I could feel about someone the way I feel about you. Before you it was whores and drunk girls I picked up in bars. That was my life. That was my plan. Then, I met you. And my plans changed."

"If I don't keep on this course, it could hurt everything," she said, remaining steadfast in her plan. "It's not that I don't want to marry you, Theo. I would love nothing more than to do so."

"Then say you will," Theo said, looking up at her. "Say you'll marry me. I'm not asking you to marry me right this second. Just please."

Getting up off the bed, Theo walked to her and touched her cheek lightly. "Say yes, Millie."

"I will, I promise," she said, giving him a slight grin. "I'd love nothing more than to be able to marry you now, you know."

A smile finally coming to his face, Theo brought himself close to Millie and kissed her deeply. "There's a ring," he told her, running his hands over her whole body, as if to remind himself she was real and had really just agreed to marry him. "Just came in the shop a few days ago. I've checked it for curses and it's clean. It would be perfect. I'll bring it home for you tomorrow, I promise."

"You know I don't need a ring," she replied, brushing his hair from his forehead. "But you know I'll wear it, of course."

"Every future bride needs a ring," he told her. Taking her hands, he pulled her over towards the bed and sat down with her standing in front of him. "Come here," he told her, tugging her arms a bit.

"Was there something else you wanted?" she asked, arching a brow.

A sly grin on his face, Theo put his hands on Millie's waist and pulled her closer so he could move his hands to squeeze her arse. "There's always something else I want," he said. "I'm sorry I yelled."
