Mike calls Lisa from Switzerland: Day 1
Mike let the phone ring for the fifth time before checking the clock again. Calculating one hour ahead where he was, it was only a little after 9 am at home. She's probably asleep, he told himself. It was, after all, Saturday.
Her voicemail picked up and he had to leave a message. He was headed out for the afternoon and wouldn't be able to contact her again before 11:11 am.
"Hey, Lis, it's me. A whole lot I mean to you, huh? First day and you don't even pick up. Anyway, just checking in. Didn't forget, okay? Yeah, I know I'm a guy, but sometimes I listen to you. Take it easy and I'll talk to you tomorrow."
He clicked off his mobile.
