Name : Jessica Williams
Age: 15 (16 in August)
Gender: Female
Location: Michigan
Likes: I have a
strong passion for writing, especially fantasy or similar, and I love to
read. I have a thing for action movies, especially ones with Michelle
Yeoh in them. I also really like surfing the internet, Harry Potter,
Narnia, and various other fandoms that would make this WAY too long if I
named them.
Dislikes: I don't particularly enjoy
school, but who does? And I don't like people who think they are
better than everyone else. And I HATE long car rides.
Hobbies: Writing, reading, roleplaying, fanfiction, and internet
Strengths: I'm a decent speller, and I can type
fast. I can also read really well, and I can tell a heck of a good
story off the top of my head (at least, that's what i've been
told--whether or not it's true isn't really for me to judge). I never hold a
grudge, even if I do take something the wrong way.
Fears: I'm TERRIFIED of Spiders, Clowns, Heights, and being shot. And I
get really freaked out when people pick up knives around me.
Weaknesses: I overreact a lot, and i'm TERRIBLE at
math. I'm not really book smart, and I get upset easy if I take something
the wrong way.
Favorite movies [no more than three]: Curse of the Golden Flower, Harry Potter, The Touch
Favorite books [no more than three]: Harry Potter by
J.K. Rowling, The Keys to the Kingdom by Garth Nix, The Demonata by Darren
Shan
Favorite singer/band: Either Within Temptation or CoCo Lee. Not sure which.
Where did you hear about this community? I believe it was another LJ. I just cannot remember which. May have been hp_promo
Wizards’ world
In which house do you think you belong? Why? Well, if
what the Sorting Hat said about Ravenclaw in the first book is true, than
I think I probably belong in Ravenclaw. Wit is something I do not
lack, and I am always ready to learn new things. My mind is always asking
questions, and I am always seeking answers.
In which house do you think you don’t belong at all? Why? I'd say
Slytherin. Although I try to finish what I start, I don't go to impossible
means to do so. If I see that something is almost impossible to finish,
I just let it go. From my knowledge of Slytherins in the book series,
they all have the tendency to think they are better than others. I don't
believe that of myself either.
In which class would you shine the most? Why? Transfiguration. I LOVE the idea of
turning things into other things, and being able to learn how to turn
myself into some sort of animal (of course, I know this will never really
be able to happen, but if I were in the Hogwarts Era, i'd be ecstatic
to learn about it). I'd try hard to succeed in that course, for the very
reason that I would love to be able to achieve.
Write a short paragraph about each of the following families [just state your thoughts on each of them]:
Malfoy: One word: Conceded. They believe that their family is above almost all
other families, and because of this, they think that their word is law.
I don't really like the fact that no one has done anything about this,
but, considering Lucius Malfoy's standing as a Ministry worker and a
Death Eater, i'm not surprised.
Black: Aside
from Sirius, i'm not too fond of them. They all have or had some kind of
sinister intention. Yes, I do believe that Regulus Black reformed
(judging by the theory of R.A.B being Regulus Black), but before he did, he
apparently commited a lot of evil acts. I'm glad, though, that some of
the Blacks reformed before they did anything too stupid.
Potter: We didn't really get to know too much
about the Potters, but going by what we do know, they were very good
people. I think they have a huge history that has yet to be told, and I
would personally love to hear it. Harry himself is a bit paranoid, but
he has his reasons.
Weasley: Probably one of
the most interesting families i've ever read about in a story. The
Weasley's are the pinnacle of a happy family, because they hardly ever have
any major problems. Molly and Arthur have never been close to a divorce,
and the siblings are always close. I think the only MAJOR issue they
had was Percy's refusal to speak to them again. Every single member of
the Weasley family has a likeable quality (to me, at least), and I
absolutely adore them.
Remember the pensieve incident from book five? [Chapter #28: Snape’s worst memory] What are your thoughts about it? I think it's very sad. Sad for Severus, and sad for
Harry. Harry experienced something that might have changed his views on
his father. Severus had always told him that his father was arrogant,
and Harry saw for himself that it just may have been true. And the fact
that Severus was miserably picked on by James in that memory really
makes me upset, as Severus is one of my favorite characters. It makes me
wonder if this was the reason why Severus became a Death Eater in the
first place.
In these hard times with a new war ahead, where are your loyalties? My loyalties lie solely with Harry
and his friends, though there are a few strands that wander off to
Severus Snape and say "I'm with you, buddy."
