Likes: reading, linguistics, obscure music, theme parks run by a certain Mouse, intelligent television, cooking, seeing results when i visit the gym, theatre (though it's been a while since I've acted in it), listening to and attempting dialects, silly t-shirts, inside jokes
Dislikes: narrow-minded twits, bigotry, hypocrisy, being somewhat pudgy
Hobbies: well, add up all my likes, and you'll come up with something like "being a general geek" so we'll go with that, just to be succinct.
Strengths: loyalty, good advisor, good listener, non-judgemental
Fears: disappointing those I care about, growing apart from those I care about, losing my mind as i get older (seems to run in my family a bit)
Weaknesses: I'm kinda shy around people I "like" like, and not the most confident person all the time, so I overcompensate and occasionally come off as kind of cocky
Favorite movies (III): Lord of the Rings, Le fabuleaux destin d'Amelie Poulain, Good Night and Good Luck, Silence of the Lambs, Mystery Men (guilty pleasure)
Favorite books (III): Lord of the Rings, anything by Bill Bryson, anything by Neil Gaiman (especially "American Gods,") those are the big ones, but I've got rather eclectic taste, there's no real pattern anywhere
Favorite singer/band: at the moment, it's Old Crow Medicine Show, but in general, Pink Floyd and/or similar classic rock artists. Oh, and Howard Shore's LotR soundtracks are incredible.

In which house do you think you belong? Why? I'd like to think Gryffindor, but somehow I don't know if i've got the requisite bravery, so Ravenclaw, mayhaps?
In which house do you think you don’t belong at all? Why? Slytherin...I remember my Lord Acton, "Power tends to corrupt, absolute power corrupts absolutely," I'm too conscious of how easily one can slip down the path to evil to ever want to deliberatly walk that line.
In which subject would you shine the most? Why? Definitely NOT History of Magic...I had a hard enough time with Muggle history! I've got a knack for words and languages, and I can grok most concepts pretty quickly, at least at the base level...maybe DADA or Charms?
In which of the following families can you see yourself and why?

*Potter
*Weasley Oh Weasley, definitely. They've got the fun genes, and they're the most supportive family (well, Percy excepted, i suppose). Sense of humor and sense of belonging wins hands down for me. Plus Arthur and the twins have that sense of curiosity that I've got (although manifested in different ways)
Remember the pensieve incident from book five? [Chapter #28: Snape’s worst memory] What are your thoughts about it? Everybody needed to just calm down and have some dip, or something. Yes, there's the animosities that are stirred up at the drop of the hat during your teenage years, but honestly...just set them aside and try to learn something useful, stop letting your carbonated hormones dictate your behavior, and recognize that you've all got too much in common to let an arbitrary division into houses pit you against each other. Now everybody kiss and make up.
In this hard times with a new war ahead, where are your loyalties? I'm with Dumbledore, Harry, Ron, et al.
