Name: Maddie
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Location: Canada
Likes: reading books and magazines, music, writing, television shows, harry Potter, movies, shopping, photoshop, chatting with friends, getting invested in fandoms, traveling, and more
Dislikes: insects, ignorance, rude people, taking advantage of others, harmful gossip, odd smells, stress
Hobbies: reading, writing, graphic design, talking
Strengths: I'm great with understanding people and taking their feelings into account (I'm not an observant person, generally, since my mind tends to wander, but when it comes to people I am very perceptive). I am supportive, motherly and a good listener. I'm good at writing and using creativity. I am hardworking and driven at school. I'm good at sticking to my values and following routine (meeting obligations). Also, I can get others to relax or change their mood. I'm loyal and stand up for others.
Fears: Of loved ones dying, for sure. Disappointing others or hurting them in some way. Insects (arachnophobia, especially *shudders*). And disappointing myself. Loneliness.
Weaknesses: I've been told that I'm too nice and have had my pushover moments. (I can't be harsh or push people around). I have trouble being brutally honest even though sometimes that's needed. I can't lie very well at all (apparently I smile too much), especially about trivial things or when lying isn't necessary. I fail at most physical activity. I'm not very competitive. Have a poor attention span for things that I am not interested in. I have very poor confidence in my own abilities.
Favorite movies [no more than three]: Pirates of the Caribbean, 10 Things I Hate About You, Troy
Favorite books [no more than three]: Harry Potter (if i had to pick, DH), Pride & Prejudice, Gone With the Wind
Favorite singer/band: Paramore, OneRepublic, Kelly Clarkson (basically alternative rock and pop.

In which house do you think you belong? Why? Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. Before, it was really hard for me to see which one I would be. The obvious one is Ravenclaw because I'm pretty dedicated to school, a bookworm, and am always trying to get top marks or whatever. I just don't think I'm competitive or wise enough, though. My Hufflepuff qualities are present in everything I do because that includes being hardworking as well, along with being fair and kind.
In which house do you think you don’t belong at all? Why? Slytherin. Definitely not. I'm hardworking and clever like a Ravenclaw, but not as ambitious to be a Slytherin. I'm not proud and obviously cannot be cunning or sly.
In which class would you shine the most? Why? Probably Potions, Charms, or something like History of Magic (LOL). Charms, because I think I would love that subject and it involves spells needed for daily use, Potions because it is about precision an d following instructions (but also calls for creativity and deep understanding) and for HoM... well, I would probably do well in that subject but I don't know if I would like it. I love "Muggle" History, though.
Write a short paragraph about each of the following families [just state your thoughts on each of them]:
Malfoy: A very proud, conservative and old-fashioned family that were all weak-willed but had redeeming qualities. I could see Narcissa as being strong, though, for some reason, though she let herself get sucked into the whole Death Eaters thing. They obviously care a lot about each other and try to save their own skins. They care a lot about their name, appearance and reputation and look down on others. Draco may have been weak and ignorant, but he was raised that way.
Black: I don't like most of the Blacks. I think they sound like a haughty family, though some of them turned out good. My favourite Black would be Regulus, but we don't know much about him. Bella was crazy and evil. Sirius was impulsive and I didn't like him much, but I understood him and felt for him. they are different from the Malfoys because they didn't manage to survive. They were quick to cut off family members and, unlike the Malfoys, could not adapt and survive (the M's were good at switching sides and whatnot).
Potter: A talented, well-known family who are recognized as good-natured. If you're talking James Potter... I hate him. he came from a loving family and was extremely popular... I don't see how he had any justification for his actions. He was a bully and was like a different extreme from the Slytherins who judged muggleborns. However, he apparently changed but I don't know what to think about that. Lilly was okay, I guess, but she just seemed like she was made out to be perfect. And she was best friends with Snape and then ended up marrying James Potter. =O I love Harry, he may not be my favourite, but he is the best Potter.
Weasley: I LOVE THE WEASLEYS; they are like the best fictional family and can be very humorous. They are very close and loving and each member of the family offers something new. They are welcoming and were so kind to Harry. They are honourable and well-intentioned. Most of all, they come off as a warm bunch of people.
Remember the pensieve incident from book five? [Chapter #28: Snape’s worst memory] What are your thoughts about it? It was incredibly cruel and if I ever witnessed something like that in my school, I don't know if I could believe it. Seriously, that was CROSSING THE LINE. The reprecussions for that could have been much worse. That scene represented a whole school time of bullying, which is just awful, especially since Snape already had a hard time at home and found no escape at Hogwarts. I think Lilly could have done more to stop it but it just broke my heart when he messed up their friendship. Snape is my second favourite HP character and that scene always makes me sad (and mad). This basically fuels my dislike for James (and Sirius was bad here too, of course, as well as Remus who I love).
In these hard times with a new war ahead, where are your loyalties? Yeah, I'm a believer in the good prevailing over evil. Which ever side I can really believe in.
