Who? Maisie/Fenrir
What? She remembers more than she'd like.
When? Set grownhp
Where? In Maisie's head.
Why? Because she's a Daddy's girl--one way or the other.
Maisie fought sleep as long as she could.
Two days her hip hurt and for two nights Maisie did everything except sleep. Her homework was done into the next week, all of her correspondence was done. She'd read two novels and four newspapers.
But on the third night--after a valiant fight she drifted off.
It was dark when she opened her eyes again. Except that she wasn't in Gryffindor tower. Or anywhere in the castle. Or even near the castle.
Instead, she stood at the edge of a park. It was rimmed by trees with a wide groomed center.
Her dream self sighed--she recognized the park. It was the park she saw in all of her nightmares. She heard laughter in the background and voices as people moved through the park. The sun had finally set and now the moon was taking over the sky.
In spite of the cold Maisie didn't shiver. She just stood still and waited.
Eventually she felt a hot breath on the back of her neck.
