Severus walked into St. Mungo’s with his hood thrown over his head. No one paid much attention to him and his associate. All around him the hospital mumbled and pulsed. A father sat in the corner with his daughter, rubbing the little girl’s back as she turned an unsightly green color and hiccupped flowers. Farther up, two Aurors chatted with a female healer.
No one noticed his friend fall easily to a crouching position, or the way his back rolled. Snape wished he had told the Order of this but he couldn’t risk it. Andromeda wanted Lucius free and she was right. He was safer proving his use to the Dark Lord. Those who outlived their usefulness tended to end up dead.

Severus slid the mask on, as he pointed his wand to the sky. “Morsmorde!”
The green skull appeared out of the clouds, shifting and silent. The jaw dropped, and the snake reared. It struck nothingness around the same time a woman noticed it and screamed. Fenrir barked, laughing as he pounced on the father.
Severus ignored it as he pushed towards the fourth floor, ready and willing.
