Wandering and Confused
The Nexus is huge, a never ending plane that calls to her sense of curiosity. She's snuck out of bed again, leaving the dormitories and Hogwarts itself to explore this vast new place. She knew it was foolish, especially for a prefect to be sneaking out of school. She'd pay for it tomorrow when Snape would undoubtedly start in on her in Potions class, but she wasn't about to let that stop her. She'd been holed up in that castle far too often lately for her liking as it was.
She'd been wandering around now for awhile in her animagus form, enjoying the way that the grass felt underneath her paws, and all the interesting scents that reached her nose...No one paid much mind to the black puppy at all.
A particular bug had caught her fancy, and she was happily lopping after it when her paws landed firmly in water. She yelped, the shock of the cold water throwing her back into her human form.
Scowling the black-haired girl lifted her head, feeling rather stupid, to make sure no one had caught her with her hands sunk to the elbows in the lake...Mouth hanging and pale eyes wide, she stared at the sight before her, not quite sure if she could believe what she was seeing.
