Oh, oh, oh. This makes me hurt for Louis so much! The poor darling... How terrible for him, to be so carelessly used by someone he's had a crush on for so long. I can't help wondering what's next for him - does he take it to heart? Of course he does, so soft and shy as he is, he'll think that's what it's like with everyone, and it'll be ages before he opens up enough to trust anyone else. This begs for a sequel. It hurt, in such a lovely way...it couldn't have been any better! Scorpius or no Scorpius. :) Thank you for choosing this prompt!

Hey! I really did give your prompt the best I had--I wanted so badly to do the pairing you requested, but what I had written for it was in no way worth subjecting anyone too. I'm so glad that you enjoyed it despite the switch. Yes--I think Teddy did them both a terrible disservice here. He let his own needs screw him over; he could have had Louis again and again, but he was too selfish to think that far ahead.

My, my, Teddy Lupin. This is probably the first fic I've read with him written in such a way - callous and a littlw manipulative, and I have to say I really enjoyed it! You've painted two very complex characters here, Louis with all his insecurities is just heart-breaking and Teddy, the older boy, who obviously has no qualms about abusing his position of trust and authority over Louis and the other kids for his own gratification. Maybe it's morbid fascination, but I really want to read more about this unnerving side to Teddy.... Great job!

I've written Teddy a couple times and he does tend to have this end of 'not quite right'. I think, with being an orphan, with having parents so magically unique, and then growing up as an 'almost-Potter' would take a toll on him.

I explored a Teddy a little like this in my darkfest submission--it's het, with Lily, but it feels like the same Teddy (this actually JUST occurred to me LOL). It's called "Split Stem of a Flower" if you're interested. :D

Thanks for the awesome review! I'm so thrilled you enjoyed this. :D

Oh wow. Really well written. And really heartbreaking. Makes me want to smack Teddy. REALLY makes me want to give Louis a big hug and tell him that not everyone is like that. It's interesting how Teddy isn't a complete, abusive bastard in this or anything and yet what he does is still...wrong.

Thank you so, SO much--for the review and for saying that last part. Yes, Teddy's not a monster here. He's just an asshole. I tried to write him realistically, wherein people are never 100% evil or 100% good... So thank you, it really relieves me to know that came across. :D

I really liked this, and the nuances in the two characters. It would be so easy to call Teddy a bastard and Louis some kind of victim, but that is not what's going on in this fic for me ^_^

I love the subtle way they came together, and how Teddy was fighting just as much with his own issues while at the same time recognising Louis' problems. This is one of those fics where I hope there will be a sequel, since I would love to see how these two messed up boys grow closer together ^_^

Please write a sequel!!!

Yes, yes! Goodness, thank you so much. I was really nervous about posting it because I didn't want people to see Teddy as a complete Villain and Louis as a Victim. There's a little bit of both but at the same time, they are just... real people. (Well, you know what I mean! :D)

As for a sequel, I usually don't--I never can seem to get them right. But your desire for one means a lot to me, thank you! <3
