I love this! Scorpius is so awkward and confused and savvy at the same time, and it was heartbreaking that no one had ever wanted him for himself, but then Harry did, so that was wonderful. :D I'm surprised how sweet this has turned out, considering the rather sordid prompt (I think it was mine? lol). And I LOVE Scorpius's possessiveness in regards to the wedding ring!! And Harry's response. ♥ Lovely.

I am surprised at how much I enjoyed this story. It drew me in and captured my attention from pretty much the get-go. I'm not usually for cross-gen relationships, but this worked so well. Scorpius' feelings and Harry's feelings are so very male (in that they never say aloud what the other means to them, but they say it in little ways that aren't obvious... unless you're paying attention). I loved that you have us a hint as to Scorpius' background without delving into too much (i.e. his fight with his father over being gay and getting kicked out of his home for it), and the same with Harry (his home and work lives are unsatisfying, and his relationship with his wife is bad, but his daughter is good). I especially thought the ending was poignant and touching with the ring.

WELL DONE!!! Consider an epilogue to this after the fest, if you feel inclined. I'd love to see where these two are in, say, 5 years from this point.

This is fantastic!! I love how their relationship progresses as if almost against their will. I love that Scorpius gets his confidence back and that Harry has someone to listen to his day and make him happy. To paraphrase another commenter - they are SO very male! None of that touchy-feely stuff (except when it counts :D) - incredibly well done!
