Thak you! I've already enjoyed several stories on the community and look forward to many more!
Question for you, as mod: When I view my post, my LJ cut shows, but so does all the text. Did I do something wrong, or does it just show that way for me, but just the LJ cut for everyone else?
Check to make sure that your coding for the cut looks something like this, only replacing all of the []'s with <>'s:
[lj-cut text="Thick Woolen Socks"]
Story Text Here
[/lj-cut]
Also, when you go to edit your post, if you could please add the fact that you wrote this story for the challenge into your header information, I would appreciate it:)
I always hand code everything because I find that the rich text editor often has problems of this nature.
I don't know how to fix things in the rich text editor because I can't see what's on your screen. It's not a terrible problem though, so don't worry about it if you can't figure out how to fix it.
Sorry, I didn't realize that you didnt understand. By the header information I was refering to the section at the beginning of the fic, where you list the title, summary, warnings etc.
I knew that you intended this to be a part of the challenge because you put it in the subject line, but I ask everyone to who submits a story for the challenge to put that into the header information, and putting that information into the subject line is completely optional.
Got it! I'm always so clumsy when I join new communities. By the way, I got the LJ cut problem fixed by going to the HTML option and reading all the code to find the problem. *cheers*
It was funny in places and beautifully touching and sad at the end.
Wonderful work!
On a modly note, I would like to welcome to our community and thank you for participating in our challenge!
