Seems to be a domino effect! The more writers we get, the more writers get found! Whee! I am the happiest underlucius when I can post a new member intro.
srichard is no stranger to a lot of you lot, seeing as she's got most of my flist on her flist. petulantgod pointed her writing out to me, and I am very happy he did. I admitted to srichard that I had seen her around on comms we both belong to, but hadn't liked the pairings.
However I DID find two wonderful pieces with pairings I liked.
Full Fathom Five (LM/VM)
I haven't read this pairing much before - which seems strange for a Lucius-aholic like me, but the fics that I have read have shown both men to be 2 dimensional monsters. This story however makes Lucius particularly, as human as you or me. He's Pagliacci (in my twisted mind) a tragic doomed figure who does what he does because, at last, he thinks it's the right thing to do. It will tear your heart out.
Yes, Draco, I am listening to you, but it does not matter because you do not know the truth, that I am only listening to you with the tiny portion of my ears that is not humming with a tune of his devising, the only portion of me that is not burning for him, this mark beneath my skin only a fragment of the heat that he has left in me.
(It's not written in 1st person, that's just one of Lucius' thoughts)
And also - the piece that I've already recced on my LJ - "Of Lamb & Wolf" (Draco/Remus) R - which is exquisite, no other word for it.
