A Big Welcome to jazzypom!
Jazzy is well known by a lot of you, I know, because of what she DOES for fandom - and to my mind she's been an honorary member of hp_literotica for a long time. She betas, she encourages, she pokes her "stable" of writers into being better writers and that can only be a Good Thing.
So I was thrilled to bits when she actually started posting fanfic herself, and invited her on the strength of the two pieces of her that I've read, together with her drive to push up the standard in fandom. (and, yes I know that's an inflammatory statement, read the icon..*sigh*)
Anyway - here's a snippet of her latest piece ("Gadabout", Remus/Tonks PG)- and I hope we see a lot more from you, jazzypom!
Remus has taken another trip, one unique to his travels and his previous life paths.
The past is a foreign country and they do things differently there.
Tonks is unaware of the customs and does not know the language.
Remus does not see it fit to send her postcards from his memories’ edge, nor does he encourage her to apply for a passport. The language is his alone, given to him by default - because the other speakers have died- if rites are observed they are done so only by him.
