Plotting/Planning-a-go-go
OK Everyone! Time to dust off the old journal!!!
As we are now heading into the OMG TOO MUCH TO DO holiday season of Halloween/Thanksgiving/varied December celebrations/New Years/King Cake Day/Mardi Gras
(I am tired just typing all that out!), I thought maybe doing a big idea sort of post might get the ideas flowing. Plus, I'm a planner. Ya'll know that. I wear the big R of Ravenclaw.
Anyway.
From random chats/conversations/ESP messages, we have a few ideas:
· Wrock the Boat Block Party (Sun, Oct 26th) - New Orleans
· Halloween (Fri, Oct 31st - duh) - no idea what people have planned, but if someone has an idea - time to speak up! :D
· Election Day online chat? (Tues, Nov 4th) So completely off-topic I can't stand it. But if it is needed - there you go. We could do one for each party so that everyone can vent freely... or just do your own thing. No worries. :D
· General November outings - (Nov 2008) LA Ren Faire, Twilight movie release, the "OMG Why Does HP_LA have so many November B-day's!" outing, and anything else people can think of...
· Beedle the Bard Release Party (REVISED featuring a Wrock concert by The Purebloods!!!!) - (Sat. Dec 6th) - New Orleans
· Yule Get-Together (Dec 2008) to be determined?
· New Year's Eve? (Wed. Dec 31st) No idea - just throwing it out there.
· HP_LA King Cake party. (after Jan 6th, 2009) Never had one - but no reason not to
· Superbowl Avoidance Party (Sun, Feb 1, 2009) This is of course, assuming that the Saints will not make it into the Superbowl. Since we have 40+ years to support this theory, I think we are safe. :D
· HP_LA goes to Krewe Du Vieux parade - (date not known yet - sometime in Feb 2009). NOTE: THIS IS SO COMPLETELY NOT APPROVED FOR KIDS!
