Gryffindor and Ravenclaw Scarves
Hello everyone! Two finished objects for your viewing. :)
My first ever finished object! A Gryffindor scarf knitted from the atypically pattern in the SS/CoS style. I used Lion Brand Vanna's Choice yarn in Brick and Honey which is 100% acrylic. The needles were number 10 (6.0 mm) Clover bamboo circulars. The scarf was given to a friend for a birthday gift.
My second finished object is a Ravenclaw PoA scarf also knitted from the atypically pattern. I didn't want it to be quite so wide so I casted on 80 stitches instead of the 90 the pattern called for. Other that that I made it through the 14 sets of bars and the scarf is ridiculously long! I used Bernat Satin in Admiral and Sterling which is also 100% acrylic but it's so soft! I love this yarn! I used number 8 (5.0 mm) Clover bamboo circulars. This scarf was given away too as a Christmas gift for a friend.
I am quite proud of the two scarves that I knitted and I like them so much I think it's time for me to make a scarf for myself. For me it will be a Hufflepuff scarf. I purchased the yarn yesterday. I think it's a local brand, it was purchased at my LYS. It's 100% wool which might be a bit scratchy but I really like the colours. :)
I haven't yet decided on the pattern I like. It will be done PoA style but the complete atypically pattern is way too long for me! So maybe a shorter version with around 10 sets of bars.
