Oh I am so glad that you liked the prompt and produced this marvolous fic! I absolutely adored the whole thing from little details like Harry being so astounded at the idea of Neville being a father and his total obliviousness to any one at Hogwarts who wasn't in his imediate orbit to the big themes you addressed: healing, forgiveness, bitterness and struggle.

I thought that ending it in a pub called the Four Founders was just beautiful. How I wish that there had been something like this in the actual epilogue!

I'm also really glad that you picked up on Draco's reduced circumstances. It is part of my personal canon that the Malfoys have to pay reparations after the war while the Manor is basically taken over by the Ministry and they end up living in a little corner of it. I find the idea of the Malfoys being poor and struggling to keep up appearences as opposed to the Weasleys who now get all of the latest Wheezes and tech to be a really interesting reversal.

Argh, there is so much other stuff I love here. The comments on school friends drifting away were very poignent. I also adore the Harry and Draco interaction. It was such a fantastic meta discussion of their positions.
