Oh wow! This is entirely gorgeous, mystery authors, each line of prose is just stunning. And you made me feel sympathetic towards Snape whilst keeping him entirely in character - something that doesn't happen very often!

This is just fabulous. And I love the snippets of Harry we get as well.

What a fantastic start to the exchange!

This is such a great extrapolation of Snape-in-DH, very nicely tying up his apparent charactisation in the earlier books with the revelations of his motivations from DH. And yes, this is how it would have been if Snape had survived, I think.

I do almost pity Snape (and I have to say, I really don't like him much - never have!), to see how damaged and bitter he is. Ouch. Interesting that despite wanting to hate Harry so much, he likens him and the others to angels. Of course, there is contempt there, and yet... hmmm. How it all coms back to Lily, without being terribly obvious about it:
These are the things that he will mark in his memory, the tangible imprints of Potter's presence - the shape of his hands, the length of his fingers, and the pattern of his fingerprints, formed when he was carried in Lily's womb.Wow. *wibbles ( ... )

This is just awesome - thank you for sharing. Your Harry is wonderful and I can't find the words to describe your Snape - he's just that fantastic. This is exactly what he would have done had he lived.
