Summary: Two girls with an unlikely heritage make friends with the boy that should be repulsed by them. Every day, Dru and Rose are fighting for their own place in the world, on the right side, with the burdens of their family looming over them like you-know-who himself. Follow them through years 3 to 7 and the aftermath and see how they find their own place in the world.
Author's note: We started this fic as a writing exercise and the first few chapters will be a little bit wonky. Please let that not throw you off. knitting_doll had a 5 year writing hiatus and she wanted to get the hang of it again. And she got it! Beta-ed and Edited by toomuchfandom and knitting_doll but no doubt there's stuff we've missed. The story starts out as quite mild, and will go up in rating as the chapters progress. Story starts out as innocent and as the characters get older, they get different kind of interests.
Author's note 2: Full aware that the OC's start off as borderline Sues but as the chapters progress they'll be better, I promise
