Hermione expects every day to be her last. Today Bellatrix will kill her or give her to Fenrir Greyback. She's always surprised when she wakes up another day. Hermione isn't used to living like this. She's used to writing up schedules, to doing everything she's supposed to when she's supposed to. She's used to having a plan.
She might have come up with a plan to escape, a plan to get hold of a wand and fight back, to flee Malfoy Manor, but Harry and Ron are dead so there's really no point. They might not be dead, that might just be another lie, but that's worse in a way because it'd mean they haven't rescued her. Her period came two days ago and her cycle's always been regular so she knows she's been here three weeks.
Her world is reduced to Bellatrix Lestrange's whims. She endures the Cruciatus Curse when Bellatrix needs an outlet for her anger or when Bellatrix is simply bored. She endures Bellatrix's fingers pinching and poking at night. She endures the knife carving Mudblood on her belly, she endures the handle being shoved inside her. Hermione endures, and prays each day will be her last.
