Author's Notes: I hope that I got what you were looking for. I put in a couple of the characters you mentioned and a few of the items you wanted to see. All in all. . .
Remus hated Halloween. While everyone else thought it was one of the best days of the year, with all of its pumpkin pies and spiced cider, Remus inwardly seethed at the mere mention of it.
It was only in the past eleven years that this hatred had grown inside of him and made him feel, for once, like he might actually be capable of hurting someone. He'd loved the day as a child, more than anyone else at primary. This was until he was made a part of the 'delightfully scary fun' that so many people seemed addicted to.
It was with that one bite, that one attack, that Remus' former love for Halloween, for bobbing for apples, for dressing up as a vampire and “scaring” his parents, had been knocked out of him so completely, he thought he'd never see it again.
But somehow, through all of that hatred, shone Sirius' infectious love
for the holiday. Sirius cheered immediately at the thought of what the staff and the elves had planned for Halloween night. Sometimes, it seemed as though he was trying to compensate for what he lacked elsewhere in his life. In this, Remus felt he rather understood.
