Title: Mystery Girl

Pairing: Bill Weasley/Nymphadora Tonks
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Not my sandbox. I only play here.
Summary: Tonks sets her sights on a target at a Ministry Costume Party. Thankfully he's happy to be there.
Notes:

Tonks knew him as soon as she saw him: tall, ginger, and ridiculously handsome. There was no mistaking Bill Weasley, even dressed as a fox. She'd always carried a torch for him, while he'd hardly noticed her, considering her just another pesky friend of his younger brother's. It had been several years since she'd seen him; he'd left school when she and Charlie were in their 5th year.

Of course, that was then, this was now. As an Auror-in-training, Tonks knew she was more than just some mischievous underclassman to be overlooked. Some days she even considered herself a badass. It was time to show Bill Weasley just that.

Tonks adjusted her mask, then sauntered over to where Bill was standing. She managed to only trip twice. She lowered her voice in what she hoped was a sultry tone and said, "Hello, having a good time?"

"Oh, hello," Bill replied. "As good a time as a Ministry Halloween 'do could ever be." He gave her a quick looking over, the corner of his mouth curling up into an appreciative smirk. "Nice gear. I love a woman in a uniform. Even if I'm not sure who she represents."

Tonks responded with a tip of her hat. "Muggle please-woman."

"Skirt a bit short for regulation though, innit?"

She felt herself blushing. "Nice of you to notice."

"A woman in a short skirt's always a welcome sight."

"Haven't changed a bit, have you?"

He raised an eyebrow. "You know who I am?"

Tonks blinked her eyes in feigned innocence. "P'raps."

"Well, that's hardly fair. You've got me at a disadvantage. I've no clue who you are."

"Reckon you'll just have to find out then, won't you?"

Bill grinned. "Looking forward to it. I love a good mystery, me."

"You're in luck. So do I."
