Welcome to our final year of HP Halloween!

We've all had a lot more stress and a lot more upheaval in our lives than in other years, so we feel a more low-key fest would be in order this year. Rather than an exchange fest as in past years, this year will be a more simple, general submission fest.

While I'm sorry to hear that this year will be the last, I totally understand why you need to take a rest. I can only imagine how much time and work and effort went into producing this complex fest year after years.

I am eternally grateful to all you wonderful mods for more than a decade of welcome pleasure. This fest has been the highlight of my Halloween for the last ten years, and I feel very privileged to have taken part.

And we still get one more year!

Thank you so much for organising this fest once more! This simpler format, too, looks great!

It was my first time last autumn, because I'd been on an eight-year hiatus. I'd returned to LJ, where for several months I posted fic in isolation, and HP Halloween helped me get in touch with other writers again and find my way to interaction on DW, too. Besides, your fest made me realise what a perfect length an exact double drabble is for a little, carefully-crafted story!

It is great to see us all back for another, even if it is the last, year. RL has gotten so crazy, the new format looks to give ease not to just us, but you Mods as well.

The only time I've written the past few years was here, and is one of the highlights of my year.

Can't wait to see what you all come up with, in celebration of our community and the holiday.

I'm very excited to see you're willing to run this fest one final time! I am sad it's the last year, but...let's make a go of it, yes?

One question: Can we submit multiple drabbles or are we limited to a single drabble submission?

Another question: I have envisioned a series of three 300-word drabbles to tell a complete story (part A, B, C). Is that acceptable to submit?
