Remus wasn't looking forward to the Halloween costume party. It wasn't that he didn't like the holiday, or parties for that matter, but he was worried about Sirius. More specifically, he was worried about what Sirius would be wearing.
It was their first Halloween as a couple, and while Sirius loved dressing up in ridiculous costumes, Remus didn't. He had told Sirius in no uncertain terms that he wouldn't join in with the couple-costume Sirius wanted to do, and Sirius had gone off in a huff. Lily had the same problem with James, and now the two of them were waiting by the punch bowl together while their partners were nowhere to be seen.
"Oh, God," Lily cried, staring into the crowd, and Remus saw at once what she was looking at.
Sirius and James were there dressed up, James wearing a wolf costume, and Sirius as Little Red Riding Hood, complete with little red dress and red, thigh-high, high-heeled boots. Remus didn't know whether to be horrified or turned on.
"So," Sirius said, giving Remus a spin and a wink. "What do you think?"
Remus grinned. "I think you have a much better wolf to play with at home."
